People come to me with a problem and I help them find smart solutions. I love empowering our clients and find it rewarding when they reap the benefits of following a plan we have developed together. It’s life changing stuff. Before finding the financial services industry I completed a 1st class Honours Degree in Environmental Planning, worked as an outdoor adventure guide in the South Island and a supervisor in the oil and gas industry in Australia. This varied background taught me so much about people, about how to listen with intent and how to problem solve on the fly. I don’t come from a banking background so have crafted my own approach to financial advice, free from corporate manuals and a suit and tie mindset. This approach is all about keeping agile, seeing problems and solving them before they materialize and working to leave our clients in a better position than when they came on board. Outside of work, my wife and I find our daily joy in our daughters. I love being on or in the ocean. I am a firm believer in giving back to the community and am the President of the Awanui Rugby Club and a Trustee at Mahimaru Marae.
